Although I'm getting tired of the food here, ancient Egypt is quite a wonderful place to be! From the Great Pyramid of Giza to the makeup, seeing everything with my own eyes is such a fascinating experience. On my last day, I collected souvenirs for my friends and family. See you guys soon!
The Egyptians have a peculiar sense of style! Everyone wears makeup. Even the males! It's very different from modern day makeup too, they wear eyeliner in large amounts. I hear it's for health purposes too. Apparently, the kohl they use for eyeliner helps prevent eye disease!
Time-traveling takes a lot out of me! Whilst looking for a meal, I ended up going for their basics: bread and beer. The beer here really shouldn't be called that. It's more like a gruel with grains and the like. The bread in ancient Egypt is very similar to the Pita bread in modern day. Finishing off my meal, I continued my travels.
I've traveled to the year 2550 B.C. Recently, I've been getting weird stares by the people here. Maybe my clothes aren't to their liking? Ah well, It's better than the transparent linen I've been seeing around, Yikes! Anyhow, the Great Pyramid of Giza is under construction. Did you know that a great amount of the builders are actually peasants and farmers who volunteered? Although, there are a few slaves. They built ramps along the sides aid their building.
It is the year 3100 B.C. Only a few moments ago did I arrive in Alexandria, Egypt. Hieroglyphics were made this year. The written language uses symbols to represent objects. It's sort of confusing. This is also the year that King Menes unifies Upper and Lower Egypt. The new crown will be a mix of the current Upper and Lower Egypt crowns. What a great time to be touring Egypt!
